Privacy notice
This notice explains the information used by Standby Generator Resource's manual homeowner-help and installer-partnership pilots.
Information you choose to send
The homeowner-help form prepares an email for you to review and send from your own email account. Depending on what you provide, that email can include your ZIP code, phone number, homeowner/property status, project type and timing, generator brand/model/fuel type, outage status, a description of the problem or project, and whether you authorize a provider handoff.
How that information is used
We use the information to understand the request, point you toward an appropriate public manufacturer/service path, and—only when you explicitly authorize it—evaluate whether a participating local provider is a fit. We may contact you to clarify the request.
Provider handoffs
We do not share your email address, phone number or request details with a contractor unless you explicitly authorize that handoff. If you say no, you can still ask us to point you toward public service options. If a commercial referral relationship applies, Standby Generator Resource may receive compensation for a qualifying referral; see the affiliate and referral disclosure for details.
Email storage and deletion requests
Because the pilot currently operates through email, messages can remain in the project's email account until they are deleted. If you want us to delete a help-request email we still hold, contact standbygeneratorresource@gmail.com from the address used for the request and identify the message.
Analytics
The site uses analytics tools to understand page visits and interactions such as clicks on service, product and help-request links. These measurements are used to improve the site and understand which resources are useful.
Sensitive information
Do not send Social Security numbers, financial-account information, payment-card information, passwords, medical information or other sensitive personal information through the homeowner-help request.
