Looking for generator installation near you? Compare the whole job—not just the generator.

A standby-generator quote can include very different assumptions about electrical work, fuel capacity, permits, placement, trenching, load management and startup. Use the official dealer networks to find installers, then compare scope line by line.

Start with qualified local installers

Manufacturer dealer networks are the fastest way to build a shortlist.

For a new home standby installation, the installer needs to coordinate equipment selection with the home's electrical loads, transfer equipment, fuel source and local permitting. Manufacturer-certified dealers can also simplify brand-specific commissioning and warranty support.

Compare quotes correctly

Make every installer price the same project.

A lower quote may simply omit work that another company included. Ask every bidder to show the same scope so equipment price does not hide fuel upgrades, site work or permitting.

Exact generator model and output on your planned fuel

Automatic transfer switch size and configuration

Electrical service changes or load-management modules

Natural-gas meter/service review or propane tank/regulator scope

Generator pad, trenching, conduit and site-restoration work

Manufacturer clearances plus local zoning/setback requirements

Permit applications, inspection scheduling and final closeout

Cold-weather accessories where climate and model require them

Startup, commissioning, owner orientation and warranty registration

Size before quoting

Local requirements

Your city can change where the generator goes and what the installer must file.

Use the local guide when your area is covered. We only build location pages when we can add real permit, inspection, climate, utility or site information rather than swapping city names into generic copy.
