What does code 1300 mean?
Code 1300 is Generac's Low Oil Pressure alarm. The controller has detected a condition that triggers engine protection. The first homeowner-level check is the engine-oil level. Do not assume the answer is simply “add oil,” because a normal oil level with a continuing alarm points to a different problem.

Check the dipstick and visible leaks
If oil is low, add only the manufacturer-recommended oil and do not overfill. Look for obvious evidence of leakage while the unit is safely shut down.

Escalate if the level is correct
Generac says that if the oil level is good and the unit still is not working, a service call is needed. Do not keep clearing the alarm and restarting repeatedly.
What a correct oil level does not prove
Low-oil-pressure is not the same thing as low-oil-level.
A correct dipstick reading only rules out one obvious cause. The alarm can still require diagnosis of the pressure-sensing circuit or engine lubrication condition. That work is beyond the scope of a homeowner troubleshooting article and should be handled by qualified service.
